SE Health’s highly-skilled personal care team has the training and expertise to provide hands-on caregiving tasks. SE Health PSWs specialize in areas including dementia care, palliative care, mechanical lifts, incontinence care, and more.

Our compassionate staff will visit your home to help with a variety of tasks, including:

  • PAB / Personal Support Worker
  • Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered Nurse Assistant (RNA)
  • Companion

Prérequis:

  • D.V.S. assistance in health care facilities (P.A.B.) (750 hours) or health and social services assistant (ASSS) (975 hours) or foreign trained RN or related experience
  • CPR updated within the last 2 years
  • P.D.S.B.
  • Loi 90
  • Languages: French (oral) or English (oral), all other languages (an asset)
  • Access to a vehicle (an asset)
  • Bilingual (an asset)

Qualities:

  • Independent and responsible
  • Punctuality
  • Listening skills
  • To be comfortable with the clientele of elderly people or those with a loss of autonomy
  • Technology – intermediate level or higher (able to use cellphone and APPs for reports)
  • A passion for the job and helping others

Main Responsibilities:

Many seniors want to stay in their home, SE Health want to support people in living their best life.

A PAB in home care supports clients in all ADLs and basic housekeeping to ensure they are safe and happy. A PAB in home care becomes a part of the family and not just a worker.

  • Provide light housekeeping services including, but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry and general household management
  • Provide companionship- mental stimulus, conversation
  • Accompany clients to activities and events in the community or medical appointments (as needed)
  • Administration of medication through safe policies and procedures
  • Provide support to the clients in personal care and hygiene (i.e. but not limited to; bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise if needed)
  • Follow all recording and reporting data procedures
  • Able to do mobility transferring for patients

Prérequis:

  • Current Certificate of Competence OIIQ or OIIQA
  • CPR updated within the last 2 years
  • Languages: French (oral) or English (oral), all other languages (an asset)
  • Access to a vehicle (an asset)
  • Bilingual (an asset)
  • Experience in home care, palliative care, wound care or research would be as asset.

  • To be comfortable with the clientele of elderly people or those with a loss of autonomy
  • Technology – intermediate level or higher (able to use cellphone and APPs for reports)
  • A passion for the job and helping others

Main Responsibilities:

An RN in home care supports clients in staying safe in home. While providing education and support in their home. For example:

  • Taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration)
  • Preparation and administration of drugs and injections
  • Wound care
  • Dementia assessments
  • Supporting families in education
  • Chronic disease education/teaching
  • End of life (palliative) support/care

Possibility of training in research, with shift work in a private clinical research.

Requirement:

  • Related experience or passion for working with seniors
  • CPR updated within the last 2 years
  • Languages: French (oral) or English (oral), all other languages (an asset)
  • Access to a vehicle (an asset)
  • Bilingual (an asset)
